Scarcity the player feels
A dying flashlight, no weapons, one safe room. Weak players stay afraid, so write down what the player can't do as carefully as what they can.
Describe the place, the threat and what the player can't do. Oryn asks a few questions, writes the design, then builds a first-person or top-down Godot 4 game with its own art and soundtrack. You play it in the browser and tune the dread in chat.

Hearing something before seeing it does most of the work. Say what the monster sounds like and how it reacts to noise, because that shapes the whole level.
Constant danger turns into background noise. Plan calm stretches and one small, finishable goal, such as three fuses and a generator.
Walk a dark building in first person, or play a top-down story in 2D. Name the view in your description and the plan is built around it.
Every new game gets a generated soundtrack, and Oryn games can use sound effects and voice lines. Ask for a quieter score or a louder creature in chat.
Scenes, scripts, input maps, UI and assets in a normal Godot 4 project, with a web build you can play in the browser as soon as it finishes.
Take the editable project as a .zip, or export Windows, macOS and Linux builds, a signed Android APK and AAB, an Xcode project for iOS, or Steam depots. Store accounts and uploads stay with you.
Write the setting, the threat, what the player has and doesn't have, and how it ends. Add reference images for the mood.
Oryn asks a few planning questions, then writes a game design document. Nothing is built until you approve it.
The first build takes about 30 minutes. Oryn writes the Godot project and a web build you can play right away.
Play in the browser, say what should change, and keep every version that works. Export whenever you like.
| Tool | Where you work | What you get | Coding |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oryn | Browser, by chat | Godot 4 project and web build, first build in about 30 minutes | Not needed |
| Unreal Engine | Desktop editor | Survival Horror template in version 5.6 | Blueprints or C++ |
| RPG Maker MZ | Desktop app, Windows or Mac | 2D story horror in its own engine | Events without code, plugins optional |
| Godot by hand | Godot editor | Whatever you build | GDScript or C# |
As of November 2026, from each tool's own pages. Prices and features change.
You can plan up to three games and build your first one for free. Changing it afterwards or building more games needs a paid plan.
That is the weak spot. The free library leans stylized, and browser builds use simpler rendering. Low-poly, retro and pixel art are the safer choices.
No. 3D games on Safari and phones run with simpler graphics, so check your darkest room in Chrome on a computer and again on a phone. If it's too dark, say so in chat.
Describe how it behaves, such as patrolling, reacting to noise or avoiding light, and that goes into the design you approve. AI output varies between runs, so play it and correct what feels off.
The first build takes about 30 minutes. Some tools are faster: Tesana says its generation time now averages under 5 minutes, as of November 2026. Oryn spends the extra time on a full Godot project with its own art and soundtrack.
No. You describe the game and the changes in plain words. If you do code, the exported project is ordinary Godot with readable scripts.
Yes, and you can release it wherever you like. Each game ships with a CREDITS.md listing the engine, the asset sources and what shipping requires. Read it first, because some generated assets need a commercial-use check.
